The story is created in the serene Island destination, where the Arabian Gulf collides with the coastlines of Dubai Islands. The façade stands at the centric lifestyle destination under the warm stone across the open water to blend into the kind of stillness that can be felt in this sensible address. With a limited edition of just 44 homes along the seafront and park borders of the much awaited destination on the Islands. The façade is designed with longevity in mind with a short few who realize that the best part of a house is not its showcase, but its revitalization. The façade has been inspired by the architecture of the Mediterranean, and the serenity is used as much as a tool as it is a way of life. The external styling is formed from simplicity of horizontal lines and rendered with a palette of warm, limestone-like, rendered fabric and banding of natural stone, including terracotta-inflected facia, which in essence evoke and remind of the coastal villages. The elevation creates depth with curved transitions and set-back loggia spaces to actively play with the sun throughout the day over the surface of the building. Serene walkways lead from the podium to landscaped gardens, progressively screens from the outside world of the residences; the roofline steps and terraces play in an unrushed and proportionate rhythm. Dubai Islands is an evolving destination and the decisions made in the early stages concerning scale, design, and character, will have profound effects on the character of Dubai's entire address for a long time. Brought to life by Origami with architecture by XBD Collective, the façade closes as more than a residence.
